Pool

We operate a larger than average, bespoke Hydrotherapy pool that is 5.5m long, 3m wide and 1.2m deep incorporating 2 swim jets for resistance swimming, entry and exit ramps and internal lighting.

The pool itself is maintained at circa 30° C and is cleansed via a series of filters and sanitised with chlorine which is highly effective in providing a sterile environment whilst also being perfectly safe for your dog. Water samples are scientifically tested with a Photometer periodically throughout the day, allowing careful control of the water sanitisation; these samples are then recorded for monitoring by the Canine Hydrotherapy Association.

Showering Facilities

All dogs will be fully showered pre and post swimming to both acclimatise (pre swim) and rinse the coat of chlorine (post swim).

Flotation Jackets

All dogs are fitted with a correctly sized flotation jacket prior to swimming so as to aid their confidence and provide additional support whilst in the water.

Toys

All dogs are encouraged with the use of toys whilst in the pool, favourites soon are found and toys are constantly replenished.

Hot Spa

Our Hot Spa which incorporates 8 massage jets and again is cleansed via filters, is perfect for the elderly or arthritic dog, and is also used in pre and post swim relaxation programmes.

Hoist

For the more severely disabled dogs, transfer into and out of the pool, along with support whilst in the pool, is provided by a fully electric hoist with a 4 point spreader bar and the appropriate support slings.

Drying Facilities

A specialist dryer is available to ensure that all dogs are as dry as possible before leaving the centre.

Tea / Coffee

It is easy to overlook the owners in the pursuit of the care of the dogs, but we do provide full tea and coffee facilities along with seating for all owners.
